“I highly recommend getting inspections. We had no idea that a home we had a contract on had issues based off what the seller’s agent was saying. The seller’s agent presented the home as being a well maintained home. It was amazing that Andy said this chimney is unsafe and then later we found out that there was no permit for the chimney at the city which means the city did not inspect it to verify it was safe. Asbestos is quite dangerous. We had no idea it was present in this home, but Andy and our agent spotted it and so we tested it. Sure enough it was asbestos. The seller’s agent was trying to sell a home with unsafe features, but Focused Property Inspections found the the issues so that we knew what we would be getting into. In the end, the seller’s agent said that asbestos is not dangerous. We know it is. Our friend’s friend died from mesothelioma. We decided not to buy a home from a person who would represent things as being safe when we know they are not safe. Without Focused Property Inspections, we would not have even known that there were features of the home that were unsafe. Home Inspections are really important.
