Your FPI Inspector

Matt Geren
CMI® · MASTER INSPECTOR
CENTRAL NCMatt Geren holds the Certified Master Inspector® designation (InterNACHI ID NACHI21032824), the highest credential in the home inspection industry, with more than 1,000 inspections and training hours behind it. He covers Wake Forest and the surrounding counties from FPI's Goldsboro base. Buyers get a plain-language walkthrough on site and a written report the same day.
Everything in One Appointment
Due-diligence windows are short. FPI performs the full inspection stack in-house, so your buyer books one appointment and gets one report.

New Construction in Wake Forest and Rolesville
Wake Forest, Rolesville and Youngsville have been building at full speed for a decade, and a builder’s own walkthrough is not an independent inspection. FPI inspects at three points: pre-drywall, when framing, flashing and rough plumbing and electrical are still visible; final walkthrough, before you sign; and the 11-month warranty inspection, before the builder’s one-year warranty runs out. Once you cross into Franklin County, many new subdivisions are still on private wells and septic, so the water sample and the septic evaluation belong in the same appointment as the inspection.
